STS Language Schools was the forerunner of the modern language course for school youth. The summer of 1958 STS arranged the first language course to Salzburg and a few places in England. Back then you travelled by train, nowadays most journeys are made by airplane. We have since then exported the idea of language courses and academic programs abroad, such as for instance STS High School for teenagers, to many countries and today STS is represented all around the world.
The business grows
In 1976 STS took the step into the traditional travel business and founded STS Alpresor. Today we are Sweden's biggest ski trip arranger with trips from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland to the most significant ski resorts in Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy. In 1992 the well-renowned Hotel Salzburger Hof in the Austrian holiday paradise Bad Gastein was inaugurated. These is STS' own hotel and conference facilities with close to 400 beds and every convenience imaginable. The hotel keeps the absolute highest standard after a complete renovation during 2003-2004.
